“ This is our go to for dimsum. Good food, not in the crazy flushing downtown area and plenty of seating = less wait time. We come here for both dine in and take out. Prices are good for the quality. The place can use some glam up but it's good enough. The push cart servers are typical in terms of service (not super easy friendly but answers questions when asked). ”

We ordered the sweet and sour chicken off menu and it was excellent. I liked that it was more chicken than batter. The sautéed pea shoots and sautéed grouper filets were yum. The beef pan fried noodles was huge and we took home the leftovers. Service was efficient. Nice decor and there are private rooms available. There is valet parking in the back of the restaurant. The highlights were the shrimp dumplings and barbecue pork buns--both fresh and perfectly balanced. The congee was comforting, and the fried taro puffs had a great texture. Everything arrived quickly and piping hot, which made the experience even better. The ambience is modern and elegant, with spacious seating and plenty of natural light in the morning. Despite being busy, the space felt calm and organized. Service was efficient and attentive. The staff were quick to take orders, refill tea, and clear plates without making you feel rushed. “ We went to New Lake for dim sum, arrived around 10:45am, parking and restaurant was so busy! There is parking right behind the restaurant and they are very well managed. We were able to get a table quickly, however we had to share. They asked if we wanted to wait for a private small table or get seated immediately but we had to share the table. We opted to get seated immediately and shared our table in the main dining area. The dining room is large, and note there are also many small private rooms which also had full tables. There are many dim sum ladies pushing their carts, with one of the largest varieties! We ordered many dishes, such as har gow, stuffed eggplant, durian puff, durian mochi, shrimp rice rolls, egg tart, and so many more! I felt the pace of the carts were well timed, they did not rush over when you sat down, there was always a constant flow of fresh dim sum options. I had the best egg tart here, it was so warm, flaky and perfect! And hubby loved the durian mochi. Overall, we are definitely making this our go-to dim sum spot going forward! Definitely a hidden gem away from the busy Flushing Main street. ”
